    first taste was shocking. as I was expecting last year's profile, the spice and less sweetness clued me in to a change. once I dried my tears, I concluded this batch is pretty good. if you want the sweetness, less burn and the secondary flavors - hold it in your mouth for a while..... profile changes greatly. I like it with a little water or Ice cube.

    I cut my whisky teeth on this guy. first whisky that didn't only taste like fire water. very pleasant.

    all summer I've been telling friends I wanted to find another light bourbon like Basil Hayden.... with no recommendations. Well..... it's October and I randomly found another great light bourbon for the summer. 10 year was on sale for $32.99...... just what I've been looking for. it's going to be sitting for a while on my shelf, but it will be drank next summer and probably replace Basil in my rotation. summer 2018: this stuff is living up to an easy drinking summer dram. highly recommend

    the best part about this bottle is the discussion it generates. Get scotch and bourbon drinkers together for this one. the American oak is there, but in the background. it's peaked my interest to try more from Macallan, as I am a bourbon drinker. There is a catch with this stuff. Switching between drinks will kill the effect of this double cask. I went from bourbon to this the other day and all I could taste was Sherry.

    it's good, nice flavor, but over priced. if someone wants to buy it for me, great! otherwise I'll stick with Bombay Sapphire or East.

    this is what I love using in my gin and tonics. a little more pepper and the lemon grass really shows. if you like saphire but wish it had a little kick, try East.

    i have voyage 5....this is one of those bourbons to bring during a fall get together. make sure to finish the bottle. I find the salt flavor lessens once the bottle is opened for a couple weeks. won't lie, I love the gimmick.

    still my summertime go to. it's light, easy drinking, balanced throughout and minimal heat. perfect for a Virginia summer with temperatures in the 90's. refreshing. haven't tasted anything like it, and I'd love to find more like it for the summer months.

    put a nipple on this bottle and take it away from me after 20 minutes. Fantastic wheated bourbon! love the flavor, love the profile - this has become my everyday bargin wheated bourbon.

    I loved this one at first Sip. And now after having a bunch of other Bourbons I still think it's pretty fantastic, though I'm not sure I would buy it again. It blends right in with Eagle Rare as an Old Faithful but it's nothing really exciting.
