The smokey peaty flavor overwhelms the typical fruity and floral notes you get with a scotch but not completely. This one has more bite at the finish than at the beginning. I haven't delved much into the peated scotches and those that I have tried I haven't been a huge fan of, but I do enjoy this one. Time to start trying others again as well!70.0 USD per Bottle

Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 15, 2022 (edited January 18, 2022)You can really smell the barrel on the nose, and the taste is a beautiful combination of the secondary aging along with fresh flowers and ripe fruit, tempered by some vanilla at the end. Nice finish as well75.0 USD per Bottle -
Rebel Single Barrel Cask Strength (Liquor Xpress)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed January 14, 2022 (edited January 21, 2022)I'm drinking the "Saved by the Bourbon" single barrel from It's Bourbon Night. Nose of cinnamon and Apple along with strong vanilla. Doesn't taste as hot as it smells but it's a very well-rounded flavor with all the expected notes. Not as strong a Kentucky hug as I expect for a cast strength but a nice lingering finish nonetheless65.0 USD per Bottle -
