This was a wonderfully creamy with lots of vanilla and honey, with some herbal notes at the end to remind you this is a rye. Highly enjoyable.

Nose: floral notes jump out immediately but then give way to an undercurrent of brown sugar, honey, and maple syrup with a tiny hint of licorice Palate: really soft mouthfeel with some cream and herbal notes at the front which then give way to baking spices, pepper and oak towards the back. Finish: the spice lingers at the tip of the tongue throughout the medium to long finish

Such a good example of the Japanese vision of scotch whisky. This is fruitty, soft and sweet with that delictae touch of smoke to finish things off. Not as heavy handed as some peated scotches, this has that precise Japanese touch that makes it so enjoyable.

This was a very delicate but enjoyable pour. Lots of fresh fruit and honey with a touch of oak and spice to balance it out.

Bought this randomly when I saw this was a KY straight Whiskey, but was Bottled in SC. Nose: lots of caramel, vanilla, and butterscotch. There was a bit of licorice and spearmint at first, but that faded behind the sweet notes as it opened up Palate: the spearmint reappears at the front of the palate and then turns to clove and vanilla mid palate and towards the back with a hint of pepper spice. Finish: there is some initial heat with some red hots type of spice and then fades to more spearmint and vanilla for a short to medium finish.

Nose: after letting it open up, getting lots of pears, apples, and vanilla Palate: oak spice, vanilla, butterscotch, and some dark fruit Finish: nice and long with the spice hanging around pleasantly along with some of the sweet fruity notes

Nose: very astringent ethanol notes hit you hard and fast followed by some grain, stewed apples, and a hint of vanilla Palate: grain forward on the front and then a burst of pepper spice in the middle, with some fruit and vanilla towards the back Finish: vanilla and caramel flow through along with some spice for a medium to long finish

Nose: vanilla, maple syrup, and baked apples Palate: more vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and more maple Finish: oak spice, caramel, vanilla and surprisingly quick given the proof

Nose: rum influence jumps outbright away with molasses and brown sugar with a touch of dark fruit Palate: a mixture of sweetness and cinnamon at the front, very soft and somewhat dry in the middle, and sugary goodness towards the back Finish: disappointingly quick, but the sweet notes carry through to the end
