Tastes

Nose: lots of vanilla, cream, caramel, a hint of butterscotch, and a little bit of dried plum Palate: butterscotch hits right at the front, but then takes an immediate turn to more baking spices and pepper Finish: fairly quick finish with vanilla, fruit (maybe grapes), and some pepper spice

This was an outstanding rye. Hit just the right amount of traditional spicy/floral rye notes while still having some smooth edges of vanilla, dried fruit, and caramel more indicative of a "Kentucky style" rye.

Nose: lots of dried fruits, mostly apples and pears, along with pepper spice, vanilla, and a splash of cream Palate: a step back from the nose in terms of potency, likely due to the proof, but still get hints of vanilla and cream covered fruit Finish: as expected it does not stay around long, but the spice does linger along with the vanilla

Nose: vanilla, caramel, smoke and roasted marshmellow Palate: oak and vanilla at the front, some bitterness in the middle, and then some more smoke and marshmellow at the back Finish: somewhat quick for the proof, but the smoke, vanilla, and oak notes are present

Nose: ethanol notes jump out almost immediately, but then once you get passed that you get some citrus notes along with with some baking spice, a bit of vanilla, and dab of caramel Palate: vanilla cream, oak spice, and baking spice. Finish: short finish, with berries and oak spice
