Apples and cream on the nose. Rye and strong spice on first sip. Great balance of full taste and linger. Oak and spice with hints of dark chocolate complete the taste. Ice completes the experience by bringing the spice to the nasal passage and pulling the apple notes back in. This is definitely one for your shelf at home.

Floral and spice on the nose. First sip brings out the brine and slight tannic taste. This has a full mouth feel with even a decent linger. Spice gives way to the brine and slightly salty finish. I think this one is overpriced for the flavors it offers. Not going out of my way to pick this one up.

Caramel and chocolate on the nose. First sip I was expecting a certain amount of spice. What I got was a mild spice that was pleasant with the chocolate still coming through. The finish falls flat. No real linger or burn that is expected with a rye. Ice cube doesn’t change much. I’m in favor of this one as an after sinner sipper.

At 100 proof there is a slight ethanol note on the nose. After it sits for a few minutes there are notes of chocolate and dried fruit. Honey and spice are both strong on the first sip but not overpowering. The linger is on point and provides a full coating of taste. Leather and a dry almost wine-like finish round this one. With its higher proof this is not too strong or overpowering. If you can find it this one is worth the purchase. Good find and enjoyable.

Not bad with tastes of oak and char.

Sweet note of vanilla on the nose. Quick spice on first sip with nice linger afterwards. Caramel and oak on final linger. Add ice and it increases the oak.

There are notes of toasted marshmallows on the nose. I didn’t believe that there would be but there it was. Fresh cut wood is also on the nose. Smooth and clean on first sip with continued notes of toasted wood, vanilla, and a slight char. Ice doesn’t change much.

Sweet and vanilla on the nose at first and Floral is evident. Good Smokey taste at first sip with a slight touch of spice. Then a few seconds in the spice is gone and leaves the smokey goodness to linger till the end. Ice cube calms the spice and move the fullness of the flavor from the lips to the throat. The ice cube makes it nice and warm. This one has a nice ride from start to finish.

Soft and sweet on the nose. Notes of Apple and cherry. Oak, spice, leather, and vanilla. Cube of ice adds some tannic and softens the spice. This one is a bit bitter and could be an acquired taste for some.

Soft vanilla on the nose. Not too spicy and full of flavor. Char is evident. And subtle hints of oak and vanilla.
