It's good, but I prefer the briny sea aromatics and flavors of the cheaper 10yr. This one seems like a more inland earthy peat.

Mossy peat smell, like a walk on the beach after a storm with a lot of seaweed washed ashore. The flavor is a distinguished peaty experience that lacks the refinement of Lagavulin and also lacks the chemical nature of Laphroaig. I think it's just right for a regularly enjoyed islay.

Very clean taste that pairs well with any cigar.

My favorite heavily peated whisky. It's so nicely balanced and hefty with a lingering finish of honey and spices in my assessment.

I enjoy this one a lot because it's more smokey than simply peaty. I also notice more fruit than with Laphroaig.

I first loved this because of the peat and seaweed notes. After trying other peated varieties, I began to dislike the chemical taste of Laphroaig.

Earthy and substantial. Reminds me of a fresh loaf of bread with a hint of cinnamon.
