fruity nose - apple -very pleasant. deeper nose a bit more spicy with pepper notes. surprisingly spicy on the palette considering the nose. still getting apple lingering. Chomping brings out pepper notes. second taste has hint of cinnamon up front. some spice, but very pleasant. really liking this.

lighter nose than the 1783. Stronger vanilla notes. very nice flavor. spoke with Jodi Filatreau, artisan distiller. He makes 1 barrel per day here, playing with mash bills. they use same yeast for all their products. had a fire years ago and thought they lost it in the fire,but the cooler preserved it. very smooth flavor in the elijiah Craig small batch. water adds burn, prefer neat.

mellow oak nose, no burn. darker than typical. full flavor, expands nicely. typical oak. with water, nothing stands out. flavor lasts in mouth. Decent sipping neat.

Apple nose. Some spice, smooth front and back. very nice. followed with Knob Creek and really appreciated the Blade and Bow in comparison.
