Bardstown Bourbon Co. Fusion Series #2
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 26, 2021 (edited March 27, 2022)I’ve had this bottle for some time and been waiting to review it. This particular bottle took almost 3 months to open up. I initially had it at their distillery and it was quite tasty. I had it when I got home after I cracked the bottle and I was unimpressed as it had a unique after taste that was unpleasant.. About 3 months later it opened up nicely. This is one of the rare bourbons other than Buffalo trace products that I tasted a nice sweet apple on the palate and that flavor is one of my favorites in a whiskey. Instead of a Carmel apple as I taste on much of Buffalo trace, I instead taste a cinnamon apple and the rye definitely kicks in on the back end. I really enjoyed this one but I found it a little annoying that it took so long to open up. 90/100 -
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2013
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 23, 2021 (edited February 10, 2022)I mean it taste just like Elijah Craig and makes sense bc it’s the same distillery.. Cherry and floral notes, on the sweet side with a touch of wood. 86/100 Good buy for a beginners bourbon and for $24 -
Think floral pine tree with a touch of cinnamon. I had this for the first time 6 months back and picked up a bottle last week. I enjoyed it then and nothing had changed as it’s a nice sweet rye. It’s easy to sip being that it’s 90 proof. Would be a nice winter dram sipping on a patio in Colorado. 87/100 cheers 🥃

Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed July 23, 2021 (edited July 1, 2022)This stuff tasted like hot hay.. it’s not a bad thing just very different. Get some sweetness too but can’t get past the hot hay, almost like hay from a petting zoo... -
George Dickel 13 Year Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whisky (Spring 2007)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 22, 2021 (edited December 21, 2022)To let everyone know, right when I bought this bottle I popped the top and drank maybe 10 percent of the bottle.. It was very good but I tasted mostly darker notes (brown sugar, dark chocolate, dusty barrel) it was good but not a lot of sweetness or fruit notes whatsoever. (17 days later) I popped the top and this bottle opened up like no bottle I have ever had. Very dark flavors of chocolate, dusty oak, and dark sugar.. But wait.. Now I taste an incredible dark cherry, an incredible floral note, and a sweetness that creates such a delicious whiskey, I was honestly blown away. This stuff is truly a lovely whiskey and my advice would be to allow it to open up for over two weeks because this one truly benefits like no other whiskey. 93/100 Cheers 🥃 -
Russell's Reserve Private Barrel Selection
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 30, 2021 (edited September 14, 2021)Best wild turkey product that I’ve had yet. Walking through total wine and it caught my eye. Read a few reviews before I made the purchase of course as it was between this and rare breed and I’ve had RB a few times and not this. Rickhouse -A I taste a nice roasted note of peanut, barrel char, and dark fruit. I can’t pin point the fruited but I’d definitely say pitted. Possibly a little strawberry in there too. Dark characteristics of flavors but the roasted note is unique to me. The finish makes me want more and more. The mouth feel is oily and it drinks like 100 proof as it goes down nicely. Not a whole lot of YouTube reviews on this yet but do yourself a favor and pick this up if you see it. $60 dollars and worth the bucks. I’m close to DC and best $60 bourbon up here is bowman single barrel and I think I like this better. I wouldn’t add water to it but I’m sure it would change a bit. My recommendation would be to drink this neat. 95/100 Cheers 🥃 -
Highland Park 18 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed May 29, 2021 (edited September 14, 2021)My buddy got into Med School and celebrated with a bottle of this.. Delightfully smooth and just peaty enough. Light fruit pear and light green apple. Not much oak on this 18 year which a rare trait but I assume it’s bc of the colder climate. Starts light and fruit then smoke kicks in and finishes beautifully. 94/100 -
Sort of a mild whiskey if there is such a thing. Very smooth but because of that it lacks a variance of flavors. It has your wild turkey spices but calmer and a nice note of smoke and mild Carmel. Everything here is reduced but if you’re looking for an easy sipping whiskey or are new to whiskey than this might be your fit. 83/100

Coopers' Craft Barrel Reserve 100 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 13, 2021 (edited September 14, 2021)Think rich caramel chocolate cherries with a nice heavy oak. I’ve been trying to find this for a while bc of what I’ve read and I dig it.. The big difference to me is I don’t taste bananas as I usually do with brown Forman products. This is the first product that I don’t taste and instead taste a dark cherry. The finish is medium to short and the mouth feel is oily.. I can definitely taste the alcohol on this, but I’m no school boy, I embrace it. This stuff is another reason why I can’t get enough brown Forman whiskey. 89/100 cheers 🥃
