Love love love me some belle meade. It’s a higher rye bourbon and has heavier leather notes balanced with apricots and cherries. This is a very enjoyable sipper, sip it neat and do yourself a favor:)

I miss this stuff when it was still under 30 bucks a bottle. I use to get it every month, ugh the good old days. This whiskey might be the best balanced whiskey I’ve had. I’m talking leather, fruit, nutm, cinnamon, buttercream, toasted marshmallow, and much more. Great whiskey! Now I’m lucky to find it under 70 dollars.

Really enjoyed this one. Heavy on the cherries, almost reminded me of the four roses single barrel with an abundance of cherry flavor. Enough oak to balance it out. Not a very long finish but a very nice supper.

Fantastic bourbon! I taste lots of hints of apples, cherries, wood, leather, and chocolate. The chocolate taste in faint but it comes through. I’m due for another bottle!

Great stuff!! I have this as a tie between this and the reserve. This is a little hotter but longer finish. It’s essentially the same just closer to barrel proof.

My go to bourbons if I can find it. I taste apples and cherries and a very slight wood and leather. Extremely smooth, almost like drinking a perfectly balanced juice. Sweeeeeet nectar, love this stuff!

I love me some McKenna! This stuff is very Woody but extremely balanced with all the bourbon characters one looks for. I taste heavy oak, faint bubble gum, leather, cherrys, apples, and nutmeg. Hard whiskey to beat right here, especially for the price.

Delightful flavor on my pallet. The flavor actually reminded me of Elmer T Lee. Light and smooth yet 90 proof and a lengthy finish. Been wanting to try this one for a while, didn’t Disappoint

I thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. It reminded me of a four roses single barrel but smoother. It has heavy wood and pitted fruit notes. Lots of cherry and red apples. I feel the reviewer on this must have gotten a bad bottle because this would be at least an 88 in my book.

Got a bottle for poppa for his birthday and he wasn’t impressed. He let me have it back and I’m aging it in my oak barrel to ease the bite. I’m not all that impressed either. Lots of burn and not great flavors, at least to my pallet. I tried the boss hog a few years ago and it blew me away so I assumed this would be up there with it, I assumed wrong.
