Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 21, 2017 (edited September 12, 2017)This is the 80 proof version. Cherries, lemon, vanilla, grain on the nose. Cherries, cool fruitiness on the tongue. Super smooth and cool. Surprisingly good and tasty. This is a regular on my bar and high on my favorite list. The more I drink it, the better it gets. It won't over take my favorite, but it's a great bourbon at the price point. A great all day sipper. This is not the same as Tennessee Whiskey, even though it's sour mash and charcoal filtered. It lacking the sugar maple mint flavor that Tennessee whiskey has. It's still very good and much cheaper than Tennessee whiskey. -
Jim Beam Pre-Prohibition Style Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 20, 2017 (edited January 25, 2017)Nose is nice, not as big as I thought it would be. Taste is fruit, cherries, caramel, spice on top. Has body and finish that's nice. Still prefer Geo Dickel Rye -
Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Reviewed January 15, 2017 (edited September 15, 2019)Corn, pears, brown sugar, on the nose. Sweet on the tongue, smoke/char, full, smooth, very little burn, acceptable finish. After going thru the bottle of this I've come to the realization that is pretty tasty. -
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 13, 2017 (edited September 12, 2017)Big and tasty. Nose was large and full. I've gotten where I really like the aroma of Evan Williams products, love the aroma. Tasting was surprisingly smoother than the nose indicated. Preferred slightly over EW 1783, only because the taste is fuller and price is lower. Worth purchasing for a nice dram -
Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon (80 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 13, 2017 (edited September 15, 2019)Dark sienna color. Banana esters, vanilla, chocolate covered cherries aroma. I've gotten where I really like the aroma of Evan Williams products, love the aroma. Bananas with brown sugar tastes. Very smooth over the tongue. Of the EW brands this is my favorite, followed by BiB and then the black label. -
Peppermint, dill, grassy marijuana, spicy aroma. Spicy, peppermint, dill over the tongue. Smooth and tasty. Worthy of the George Dickle brand. Revisit to GD Rye. The aroma it heaven. This is beauty in the bottle. Gorgeous aroma and taste. Sugar maple filtering makes this a wonderful rye. Maybe I'm bias to my home state brand, but this is wonderful for the rye drinker.
