Hellyers Road Single Malt Pinot Noir Finish
Single Malt — Tasmania, Australia
Reviewed October 14, 2020 (edited September 29, 2022)Tasty! Chocolatey with citrus undertones and dark berries. Almost like Christmas cake in a glass. -
Hellyers Road Slightly Peated Single Malt
Single Malt — Tasmania, Australia
Reviewed October 4, 2020This was surprisingly good. I usually hate peat, but this is subtle. Reminds me of a speyside scotch with just a hint of smoke. Sweeter fruit notes came forward. Nicely balanced. Would definitely drink again -
Starward Fortis
Single Malt — South Australia, Australia
Reviewed September 11, 2020 (edited October 22, 2021)Figs, vanilla, raisins, a little and spicy leather on the nose. Berry cobbler with spices and cloves on the palette pulling from the American oak and red wine barrels. Maybe a light touch of mint. Sweet with decent burn at 50% abv. All around tasty, but in small quantities because of the higher proof and high cost. -
Singleton of Dufftown Malt Master's Selection
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 8, 2020Notes of apples, cinnamon, vanilla, and wood. With a drop of ice, imagine an apple cobbler in a dutch oven cooked over a campfire. A little sweet and Smokey, but light burn and easy to drink. -
Archie Rose Sandigo Heritage Rye Malt Whisky
Rye — Sydney, Australia
Reviewed August 5, 2020 (edited June 24, 2021)Each tome I taste this I love it a little more. Rich and complex. Rum sweetness and molasses flavours, with spicy burn from the rye. I need more of this.
