Fruity, well balanced on the nose. Smooth entry, smooth through the mid-pallet, mildly sweet exist, with plenty of warmth. Delicious! Perfection. I want a bottle for my collection.

Defiance House Lodge July 2018. Decent entry, slightly minty in the middle, scratchy at the back, with just enough burn. Didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it.

I liked it. It was like a buffalo trace “plus”. Not $10 per bottle more “plus”, but plus none-the-less.

I would drink this over Makers Mark. It was smooth, a little bit of cinnamon flavor almost to the point of being a little like a rye.

Raleigh trip with my baby June, 2018. First sip was intriguing. After that, it was like an extra sugary, thick, fruit cocktail. Seriously almost avoided finishing my double.

Took my a while to get through a fifth simply because I didn’t enjoy drinking it. Picture it as a cross between a 1792 small batch profile and Buffalo Trace profile, but without character. Wouldn’t do again.
