Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 1, 2021 (edited August 4, 2021)Nose: sweet butter, bread spices, cherry, chocolate, and toasted marshmallow Palate: excellent oil feel, reminds me of those caramel with vanilla filling candies. Roasted butter. Finish: this is where the oak hits and lingers so nicely. I feel like I just ate a handful of caramel popcorn -
Old Tub Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 29, 2021 (edited November 20, 2021)It's Jim Beam at higher proof. It's good not great. Probably won't replace the bottle. Would rather have Wild Turkey 101 -
Nose: citrus, ethanol, baking spice, hints of vanilla Palate: buttered toffee with great oily mouth feel. Oak comes out at the back. Slightest hint of lemon. Finish: is more proof than it is, with great mouth feel. The oil feeling just lingers. This is first and brand new bottle looking forward to see how it opens up.

Glenlivet 12 Year Illicit Still
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed July 27, 2021 (edited April 10, 2022)On the nose I get all vanilla and sugar. Almost like the vanilla tootsie roll. The palate is like powdered sugar and apple. Lasts a long time and stays sweet. Finish I get like a hazelnut. Very enjoyable -
Nose is a hint of leather, then a vanilla bomb. Has some sweet undernotes as well. Palate very oily that covers your whole mouth. Sweet fruit notes to start, I detect pear and bold apple. Finish is where some of the oak comes out with great long lasting sweet vanilla. Hits way above it's price point. Delicious

High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed July 20, 2021 -
Bumping my rating up a tiny bit after letting it air out a couple weeks. This is a very young bourbon. Corn on the nose, and sweet. Palate has a leather note, and a slight smoke note. Finish is harsh and just not good. I want to support local Utah distilleries but this is not good. I guess I'll see how it mixes.

Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 14, 2021 (edited July 29, 2021)Absolutely delicious! Nose I get red fruits and a hint of pear at the end. Palate it's like dark cherries and a hint of citrus stronger than orange. Finish burn but not bad, the oak finally comes out here, and late finish is like I just ate a creme brulee with fresh fruit. Delicious love it neat60.0 USD per Bottle -
