On the nose: Floral bomb and citrus on the nose. Not a gentle floral either, more like an 80’s neon explosion rather than a gentle rose like tone. Citrus is sharp like a tangerine, not an orange. Notes of pepper as well. Taste: Complex! Fairly alcoholic and hot. The floral still comes through but the sweeter citrus and black pepper really shine. Juniper undertones...enough to carry this gin forward but not enough to make me feel like I’m drinking a traditional gin. Finish: Once the alcohol burn slows down, this gin finishes very nicely. Sweet and lingering that just doesn’t go away. It’s like smelling your lover’s perfume on your shirt from days ago. Such a fun and complex gin! Highly recommended. Wouldn’t mix it...this is made for sipping

Leopold's Navy Strength American Gin
Navy-Strength Gin — Colorado, USA
Reviewed February 16, 2019 (edited July 25, 2019)Damn good. Real strong. Not overly juniper heavy! It’s like a huge floral bomb exploded with an incendiary charge! -
Leopold's American Small Batch Gin
Distilled Gin — Colorado, USA
Reviewed February 16, 2019 (edited March 5, 2019)My favorite gin of all time. Floral, herbaceous, not overly juniper. Todd distills each ingredient on its own before blending so nothing is over extracted. This stuff is delicate, delicious, and very thoughtful. -
