Ardbeg 10 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTasted4.5. Damn, this is really nice. Not too over powering, although I love a real smokey, peated scotch. Has a dry finish. Going well the cigar I’m smoking.
Dewar's White Label
Blended — ScotlandTasted3.0. Pleasant nose, a decent finish. Little bit of peat. I actually think this shines in a Rob Roy cocktail.
Jack Daniel's Tennessee Straight Rye
Rye — Tennessee, USATasted4.0. I enjoyed this pour. I tried this neat and in a few cocktails. Was on sale so I thought I would try it. Pretty smooth and enjoyable.
Lagavulin 16 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTasted5.0 just great. The smoke, the peat, the great finish.
Jim Beam Double Oak
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedHas some smoky flavors, but there is just something I don’t really like. Not terrible, but for $17 I guess I can’t complain. Tried in some cocktails, underwhelming .
Powers Gold Label
Blended — IrelandTastedVery nice. My favorite Irish Whisky so far. Oats and honey on nose with a nice finish. Really enjoyed and price is good.
Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedFruity and floral. Very enjoyable scotch for a decent price.
Canadian Club 100% Rye
Canadian — CanadaTasted"3.75. Got this for $16. Great for the price. Enjoyed this neat. A little lacking in a cocktail, but I’ve had worse for much more money."
Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Series No. 2
Tennessee — Tennessee, USATastedShame. Really wasn’t impressed. Much prefer Jack Daniels single barrel for about the same price.
Wild Turkey Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USATastedWas much better than I expected. I usually use it in cocktails, but it was good neat as well. Will by again.
