Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed July 21, 2020 (edited July 22, 2020)A dark and brooding whisky, with a nose of overripe bananas, and maple syrup. Thick on the palate, darker fruits show. Medium finish, with a built up burn after a couple sips. Definitely a thinking whisky, perfect for outdoors, cold winter nights. -
Fruity, lighter, and with a medium finish. Drinks with a little more burn. The sherry shines. First intro to Glenfarclas. Nose is elegant definitely enjoy that sherry nose. But would likely rather have the Glendronach 12 I think. This is lighter than the Glendronach. The Dronach is deeper and darker than this.

GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 22, 2020 (edited June 1, 2020)Incredibly strong flavors and very enjoyable. I seek this out for sherried whisky. This is probably the best and most available. A bit more forward than the 15. Burst of strength o the front end. -
