Grey Skies has renamed themselves Eastern Kille Distillery. This is a simple bourbon. Spicy up front but not overpowering. Does not have a tremendous depth of flavor, but the bottle indicates it may not be 4 years in the barrel. A bit medicinal in the aftertaste. Shows promise. Worth revisiting after they have had more time to grow and age their products longer.25.0 USD per Bottle

Grand Traverse Ole George 100% Straight Rye
Rye — Michigan, USA
Reviewed July 10, 2020 (edited May 9, 2022)Actually smoother than their bourbon. A spicy rye fan will not like this, but I found it rather nice. -
Grand Traverse Ole George Double Barrel
Rye — Michigan, USA
Reviewed July 10, 2020 (edited October 12, 2022)Figured it would be like Angel’s Envy, but lacked depth of flavor. Really just a slightly sweeter, mellower version of their Rye, which I like. There was no reason to “upgrade” to this whiskey. -
This was from Barrel #4638, bottles exclusively for The Party Source in Bellevue, KY. Nice spice up front, but quickly mellows. Has a bit of a caramel aftertaste, not all pleasant. Every palette is different, but I actually prefer the Old Forester 100 proof. More even throughout and much less expensive.

Wilderness Trail Family Reserve Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon (Wheated Bourbon)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 9, 2020 (edited July 11, 2022)We (my wife and I) thought this was wonderful. Strong and full flavor, but balanced. Had a nice kick, but not overwhelming. Could taste the corn, but wasn’t too sweet (like their regular single barrel bottle in bond might be). Of course every barrel is different, so tastes may vary.63.0 USD per Bottle -
Wilderness Trail Settlers Select Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye
Rye — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed June 9, 2020 (edited December 27, 2020)A solid single barrel rye. Spicy, but balanced. A bit pricy as a mixer, but good on the rocks.54.0 USD per Bottle
