Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 27, 2020 (edited April 1, 2020)Smooth and balanced. A bit of spice on the finish. Does become a bit ordinary with too much water or melted ice. Factoring in price ($22) on score. Great bourbon for under $25.22.0 USD per Bottle -
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 2, 2020 (edited May 6, 2020)Really nice balance between spicy and smooth. I liked it better as the whiskey ice melted and brought out more depth of flavor.55.95 USD per Bottle -
Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 22, 2020 (edited February 26, 2020)Agree with others that the start is a bit underwhelming and the finish is long and strong. Wasn’t wild about it at first, but improved as I sipped and the whisky rock melted. Glad I tried it, but don’t know that I’ll rush to buy a second bottle.48.0 USD per Bottle -
Defiant American Single Malt Whisky
Other Whiskey — North Carolina, USA
Reviewed February 13, 2020 (edited April 24, 2020)Was told it was reminiscent of Scotch. While the recipe echos that claim, the taste lacks the smokiness and depth of a good Scotch. A bit sweeter than expected as well. It’s unique, I think, but not great. -
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 6, 2019 (edited August 9, 2019)Smooth up front, spicy on back side. Easy to drink and an obvious addition to the Col. E. H. Taylor family. -
Wilderness Trail Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Bourbon (Wheated Bourbon)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 5, 2019 (edited October 10, 2019)A bit spicier than the Small Batch. Finish not as smooth. I prefer the Small Batch Wilderness Trail to this version.
