Barrell Dovetail (122.9 Proof)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in) Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 21, 2023Outstanding complexity. It is high test, and I almost think you’re doing it a disservice not to cut it a little, or on a rock (my favorite for this one). That really brings out the flavors. Happen to have a few sips with a brownie and it was a magical pairng. Tasting notes are Vanilla, marshmellow, caramel, maple, with a peppery and minty finish. -

Barrell Bourbon Batch 033
Bourbon — (bottled in) Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 4, 2022 (edited January 31, 2023)Nose is orange and vanilla. sweeter, finish is candied corn, apricot, caramel and vanilla. Also some spicy citrus notes in there. Excellent and amazingly drinkable neat despite its ABV. The negative reviews on here are clearly about price, but that’s literally tons of bourbon these days. There’s no rhyme or reason to it other than hype. This distillery is hyped right now but it will probably pass. This is an excellent bourbon. -
Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Rabbit Hole Heigold Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 7, 2022 (edited September 14, 2023)You smell the sweetness from the corn in the nose, maybe some candied orange, which isn’t surprising from the mash bill. Taste is citrus and caramel or butterscotch, and the rye comes in on the finish with pepper and spicy notes as well as leather and a little dark fruit. Drop of water and/or chilling it with a whiskey stone makes the flavor come through much better in my opinion, because when it’s at room temp the spicy finish can overpower the citrus and sweet flavors at the start. Think this stands up much better than the average rating it gets on this app and elsewhere. -
