Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Batch Proof 128.3
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 16, 2021 (edited February 27, 2022)Pleasant heat and sweetness. Permeates through the finish. Very good. -
This one is a sizzler. It has a pleasant flavor, but I wouldn’t say it’s full-bodied. Felt a bit slim/oily on the palate. The finish is long and spicy as hell. It’s good, but I wouldn’t spend the secondary prices on it. Edit: So, your results will vary, especially since they’re mostly single barrels. The one I just had is amazing.

Middle West Spirits Michelone Reserve Wheated Bourbon Cask Strength
Bourbon — Ohio, USA
Reviewed July 9, 2021 (edited May 10, 2022)Central Ohio Whiskey Society pick: “Four Grains of the Apocalypse.” This one is awesome. In their description, they mentioned that this may compete with Stagg Jr, ECBP, etc., and I was skeptical. After opening this up and letting it breathe for about 20 minutes - holy shit, this is good. Sweet and robust, some light spice with a little fruit sneaking in. I’m very impressed. I’m considering going and buying another before it’s gone. -
The Representative Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana , USA
Reviewed July 8, 2021 (edited July 26, 2024)This is an awesome value. Deep and warm. This is really on par with the likes of Stagg Jr. I’m really impressed by this. -
Belle Meade Cask Strength Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Tennessee), USA
Reviewed July 8, 2021Warm and sweet. Just a tinge of spice that dissipates quickly. Nutty, vanilla. For the usual ~$60, this is a quality pickup. -
Ezra Brooks Distiller's Collection Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed July 7, 2021 (edited August 25, 2021)Liquor Cabinet in MI. Neck pour. Rich and woody, similar to Ezra 99, but a bit more developed. It’s really nice. Almost tastes like a chocolate caramel.
