There is well-maintained heat here that you wouldn’t expect at this proof level. I had to check a couple times to ensure that it really is only 90 proof. The finish persists throughout and adds a nice perplexity, but I would like just a bit more sweetness.

Extremely light yet full-bodied. Not intense at all, but lingers forever. Great taste.

One of the best you can get for the price. A staple.

This one is special to me because it was my introduction to “good” whiskey. I only quotate there because many people are polarized by this product, but I love it. I get the light gummy candy note Buffalo Trace often has, and it is infinitely drinkable. This is the daily drinker to end all daily drinkers - if you can find it.

Neck pour on an older bottle. Get a lot of toast on this one. Has a flavor completely different from the 12. You get some similarities on the finish, but that’s about it. This one is very present.

A lot of palate spice, but very short finish. Get it on sale

A pretty quintessential bourbon. Caramel, nutty notes, pleasant, some burn, but not really. You could do worse.

Showermans pick. Cream and spice intermixing, smoothing to a fruity finish. Just awesome.

There’s a unique character to this taste. It’s like a sweet banana mixed with a nibble on a cinnamon stick. The woodiness of the cinnamon stick is what tantalizes me the most, but the banana/honeydew sweetness sneaks in just enough to make the flavors dynamic.

About as near to perfect as I’ve had. I only see Stagg sr and the like edging this out. Rounds out the edges of the small batch.
