Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-04 "Beaten Biscuits"
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed August 21, 2020 (edited January 13, 2021)More caramel on the nose than expected. Oak and spice on the palate with a touch of vanilla and maybe a hint of char. Rich and oily mouthfeel and drinks much smoother than I would have expected given the ABV.16.0 USD per PourBlaze -
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Tawny Port Wine Barrels (2020 Cellar Collection)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 17, 2020 (edited December 20, 2020)All I can say is wow! Had my wife blind pour me 1 of 7 bottles I hadn’t opened yet, not thinking she would open this. That being said, the other bottles were nothing to scoff at so I really had no idea what this was. The nose immediately blew me away and I knew I was in for something special. The palate continued to impress and then the finish lingered on and on with a nice sweet end. I have nothing bad to say about this pour at all. I was hesitant to pull the trigger but so happy that I did. As I am writing this review I am smacking my lips and it’s still surpassing my expectations. I will be savoring this bottle for sure!250.0 USD per BottleAngel's Envy Distillery -

I will start off by saying I was pretty impressed with this one! Much lighter in color than a traditional bourbon but I don’t feel like it tasted young. The nose and front end of the palate were sweet and kind of reminded me of a scotch but they quickly changed mid palate to give way to oak, vanilla, and maybe some cherries but definitely fruity. I thought the finish was leaving some to be desired but after a few sips it started lasting longer and was very pleasant. Great bottle at this price point and makes me eager to try their other expressions. I have to say the marketing is genius as well but that doesn’t affect my rating. That being said, will probably try to grab the collection from now on though!

Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 12, 2020 (edited September 14, 2020)This is truly a gem and I think it will do very well on the shelves. It’s quite a step above the standard Small Batch but not quite to the level of ECBP so it is priced accordingly in my opinion. I got vanilla and oak on the nose and the palate was much more sweet and fruity than I was anticipating. In the finish I got the Cherry others have mentioned and also got a little of the char. Great work Heaven Hill but seriously, when is the toasted barrel barrel proof coming out.....that might blow my mind! -
Neck pour but continued to get better the more I let it open up. At first I got a lot of vanilla on the nose but then the wine hit after a few minutes. Palate was sweet at first and then got a lot of dry oak. It finishes with the sherry notes making this a very unique pour. Overall, I wish I had gotten one more as a backup because they don’t sell it where I’m at.34.99 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More
