Tastes

Funny to judge with no sense of smell and a weakened taste. The strong peaty-ness definitely resonates with other Islay scotches. Not as intense as Lagavulin 16, but an enjoyable Thursday evening treat.

Did not enjoy the taste or the body. Initial thought was “this is Jameson”, but a higher price point. Not a fan.

A beautiful mix of fruity, smoky and spicy. My personal favourite Japanese whisky when I just want a good drink with no specific palate.

Intense peaty taste from true Islay territory. Smokey and pleasantly aggressive on the palate, with a body like no other. A leader of its kind.

Very palate-able and goes down super smooth. A true Sherry cask taste with a rich fruitiness. One of my personal favourites.

Strong to the pallet, yet light to the eye. Potent in flavour with a vanilla edge and some spice in the body.
