Tastes

Ugh. An abomination to whisky everywhere. The whisky equivalent to birthday cake vodka. It's either bad whisky masked by cinnamon or good whisky ruined by cinnamon.

I really wanted to love this bourbon. However, I didn't really care for it. I prefer my bourbon on the rocks. However, I found the flavor of this bourbon to be weak on ice. When I tried it neat, it definitely tasted different and the flavored were more pronounced. But, I still didn't find it all that appealing. I've found others at this price point that I prefer over Jefferaon's.

I liked it with ginger ale, but on the rocks it just didn't do anything for me. It's not bad, but it just didn't wow me. I prefer Larceny at this price point.

Very good. Just the right amount of bourbon spice. Very easy to drink.

Very smooth and drinkable. I thought it lacked a "wow" factor, though. I expected a little bolder flavors. I wouldn't pass it up, but I also wouldn't go out of my way for it.

It's fairly good for the price, but it's just not quite got that "wow" factor. There are certainly worse bourbons for more money, but I think I'm moving on to something else once my bottle is finished. Update: I've explored pretty much everything under the $30 mark. Other than W.L. Weller Special Reserve and Bastille, this might be my favorite now. And when it comes to value and availability, it can't be beat.

I really wanted to like it, but I didn't. There are too many other whiskeys I like better for me to go back to this anytime soon.

I just tried it for the second time. I like it much better the second time around. This might be impossible to beat for under $20. At $15 a bottle, it pretty well puts everything under $20 to shame and holds its own against bottles that are twice as much or more.

Opened my bottle for the first time tonight. It far exceeded my expectations. It was a very easy drink on the rocks. Too easy, really. For $30, it was very nice.
