    I had my sister bring me back a bottle from Puerto Rico. I had heard good things about it. This is not your typical spiced/flavored rum. It has an overwhelming flavor of something, but I can’t pinpoint exactly what. Maybe something like licorice? Whatever it is, it’s not what I was looking for.

    Excellent for the price. Not one of my favorites for drinking on the rocks. It’s got some burn to it. But it is an excellent mixer. It’s comparable to the best in the $25 range but at half the price.

    I was so much looking forward to this one. I had determined that I like wheated bourbons over high rye bourbons. I thought "the more wheat the better". Well, maybe not. I really wanted to love this one, but I didn't. I just didn't care for it. I'll finish the bottle, but I won't return. There are several other that cost less that I like a whole lot more.
