Nose: fresh fruit (almost orchard fruit but not quite), stone fruit, sweet candied notes, chocolate or fudge note, lightest hint of vanilla but wisps away kinda quick, some cereal grain notes but not necessarily in a bad way, has slightly bright note to it, a fall harvest feel. Taste: similar to nose, light sweetness, malt or caramel, chocolate notes, wood spices, white pepper, lingers for a moment but fades quickly. Overall, for a blended by Dewar’s and at 12 years old, not that bad.

Nose: fruits, pear, sweet rich malt, sherry, hint of citrus like orange or tangerine, lightest hint of a chocolate note, hint of vanilla, subtle light peat smoke, mild spice pepper notes. A couple drops of water push the peat aside, malt becomes almost candy like with the fruit and chocolate note, ginger spice barely comes through. Taste: nearly identical to the nose, chocolate note comes out more, perhaps a coffee touch (you may or may not get it yourself), peat is mild, peppery spice lingers well. Solid for a 10 year old.

Nose: light sweetness, fresh fruit, pear, mild honey, hint of vanilla, wood spices, maybe a sweet straw grass note, some alcohol punch that subsided at it opens up, overall pleasant but not complicated. Tastes: decent sweetness, a wisp of fruitiness that is gone as fast as it arrives, spice notes pop out quick and take over and lingers some, grassy almost herbal note, vanilla tries to push through but has trouble getting past the rest of the flavors. Not horrible but not great. For the price, it’s worth a look.

Nose: very sweet, sugary spun candy like quality perhaps, brown sugar, moderate vanilla throughout, barrel spice, cereal grains. Taste: virtually the same as the nose, barrel char shows through, a little bite of spice at the end. Seems to hint a little towards an American whiskey (that barrel maybe?) like a hybrid between Irish whisky with a bourbon touch. Not too bad overall. I’d get it again.

nose: honey, sweetness, very fruity, fresh fruitiness of apple, pear, apricot, light with an almost bright crispness quality, hint of spice but in the background, very aromatic but gentle and very pleasant, barely any smokiness. Flavor: light sweetness of honey, fruitiness with a heather note, very gentle from beginning to end, lingers and last nicely (long aftertaste), a light oak spiciness, faint vanilla note, very light hint of smoke (roll on the front side of your tongue for 5-10 seconds and swallow keeping from the backside; the light smoke will follow on the finish a few seconds later), very full experience from beginning to end, extremely friendly throughout, unbelievably smooth. Water does not change the profile much but does bring all aroma and flavor profiles down equally, less quality experience. Recommend no water.

Nose: pleasant sweetness, malt, maybe light brown sugar, moderate darker fruit notes, rounded, vanilla, maybe an hint of spice similar to nutmeg, simple and straight forward. Taste: very much like the nose but finishes with a light smoky, peaty note. Medium finish at most. This is actually a very good budget scotch for a daily drinker. Perfect to follow up and keep your evening going after you and some friends have had a few drams of the good stuff. Edit 29May2021: Nose seems to have changed a little. I get a paint thinner/paint fume like quality from the get-go lately that takes away from the rest of the nosing experience. This very well may be a flavor/nosing drift from previous distillations. 2.5 rating if it’s like this. Still decent but can be off putting if you have it after a few other 10-15 year old scotches. Another edit, 22Dec2021: This thing is going on a interesting evolution. More flavor drift, but for the better. Way less of the paint fume quality. Perhaps a cocoa or chocolate quality on the finish now? The profile overall seems to be more true to what it was supposed to be. I’ll stick to the 3.25 rating as of this edit.

Nose: medium sweet malt, some sharp tannins that jump out at first, herbal vegetal note, hint of a ginger like quality, some fruit notes do push through a little if you let it sit, hint of honey, brown sugar, perhaps some vanilla. Taste: quite similar to the nose but with a little more fruit sweetness. Has a slight bitterness on the finish. Peppery notes with a hint of a fiery oak wood note, almost peaty but not quite. Overall, meh. If you like mixers with scotch, this could do. I’ve had worse.

Nose: light, simple sweetness of spun sugar, honey, light buttery note, spring orchard flowers, herbal but faint. Taste: similar to the nose but with a more forward on the herbal quality, almost a slight bittering note. Some sharp, peppery notes. Sweetness subdued a little more than what I’d like. Overall, an ok Irish whisky for the buck. Works well as a mixer, not as nice neat. Decent budget whisky to have for quantity sake.

Nose: bright, almost zesty, light sweet crisp fruit notes with a moderate malt that settles into some slight vanilla and fresh cut straw, spring/summer like. Taste: fruit forward with a hint of honey, light almost white peppery note with a bit of an odd finish that’s slightly bitter. Nothing outstanding, but for the price it’s not a bad budget friendly option to rotate into the cabinet once in awhile. I can see why this should be part of a blend to help elevate it.

Nose: light sweet honey/honeysuckle, maybe some shortbread, slight caramel, hint of vanilla, faint citrus that leans towards lemon. Taste: similar to nose, wood notes come in quickly afterwards, mild spice from the barrel, finishes with a light touch of bitterness. Not exactly what I’m looking for in an Irish whiskey but some may think it’s decent. I could see this mixing fairly well.
