An incredibly balanced whiskey. Eddie Russell nailed it with this one. The whiskey has a nice oaky nose which continues into the palate. It drinks a bit hotter than 91 proof but I appreciate that extra spiciness and oakiness. The palate continues with barrel spices, oak and smoky vanilla. I got a ton of oak and vanilla as well on the finish.300.0 USD per Bottle

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye (2020 Special Release)
Rye — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 9, 2021 (edited January 28, 2021)This may be my favorite new rye of 2020! Jack Daniels hit a bulls eye with this whiskey. My only complaint is that the nose was a bit faint which was surprising for the proof. The palate was amazing: think rock candy, caramel, spearmint, barrel char and baking spices! It is delicious. The finish is great as well with more barrel char, spices and lip smacking candy. The proof isn’t overwhelming either. I recommend 3-4 drops of water and I used a frozen whiskey ball. -

George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2019)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2020 (edited July 15, 2020)This is by far the best George T Stagg I have ever had! The nose opens up with burnt brown sugar, molasses, barrel spices and caramel corn. One of the best noses if any bourbon I have ever had! You still get the ETOH burn if you inhale too deeply but it’s still amazing! The palate continues with toffee, caramel apples this time, barrel spices, deep oak undertones and that amazing burnt brown sugar. The ETOH is undeniable but tolerable given the proof. The finish continues with a whisp of smoke, spice, oak and those caramel apples. This year’s proof was perfect! Best BTAC OF THE YEAR and the best Stagg of all time! -
