Lagavulin 9 Year (Game of Thrones-House Lannister)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 12, 2020Love this the most of the GOT series. I’m a fan of Lagavulin. This one seems sweeter with less smoke. Quite a bit of brine on the finish. -
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 12, 2020 (edited April 5, 2020)91/100. Favorite of the series. Lots of oak on the nose but the taste is all cherry. Some rye/clove on the finish. Some alcohol heat. Great legs on this. -
Smooth Ambler Old Scout American Whiskey
Blended — USA
Reviewed February 11, 2020 (edited March 26, 2020)I like the Smooth Ambler bourbons better. Somewhat similar base taste but this sure has more rye. With the rye spice and the near 50% alcohol burn I added a little ice. I didn’t realize how sweet it was prior to adding ice. Good not great. -
