Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost (Game of Thrones-House Stark)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed June 12, 2020A very mild sweet scotch with a slight burn on the finish. Notes of apples, pear, green grass and vanilla. Easy sipper. On the packaging it says Naturally it’s best served chilled or over ice. I drank it neat. I’m afraid you would loose the taste served over ice. -
Glen Scotia 15 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed June 7, 2020 (edited July 21, 2020)Cedar, caramel, and vanilla on the nose. Apple, lemon, grapefruit, and slightly sweet initially followed by some brine, smoke, and spicy burn on the finish. -
Sweet honey and floral on initial sip. Coats the mouth nicely. Smoke and brine follow with some delayed heat. Interesting blend, wish I knew which scotches were part of it. Beautiful Chardonnay wine coloring. Great legs on this one. Smooth and mild with a bit of a young whiskey burn. Overall I like it, not well known so it is reasonable. A good go to when you want a little peaty scotch but don’t want to drink up your good stuff.
