On the nose, I get notes of herbs and spice. The palate is sweet with notes of baked apple, caramel, hints of chocolate and peppermint on the aftertaste which as acts as though it cleanses the palate for the next sip. It also has some spicy notes that are reminiscent of bourbon but without that harshness you sometimes get, which is pleasant. All in all, a really great bottle that I would purchase again whether for a friend or for my own home bar.

Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 22, 2021 (edited November 23, 2021)Great flavour profile, sweet and spicy all in one. On the palate I definitely get the fruitiness from raisins mixed with cinnamon spice, not a bad combination of flavours. Not an easy find in my area, but if you do manage to come across it, it’s definitely worth buying, even as a gift to someone who isn’t entirely sure why flavour profile they like, this has a bit of everything in my opinion. Overall a great flavour profile. (4.25/5) -

Amrut Single Malt
Single Malt — Bangalore, India
Reviewed September 4, 2021 (edited November 21, 2021)First time ever trying an Indian whiskey and honestly I’m very pleased with this purchase. It’s honestly an incredible whiskey, very sweet and smooth, great flavour! The palate has some honey and vanilla notes, and the aftertaste maintains its sweetness even a while after. I would definitely suggest the Amrit Single malt to anyone who is interesting in trying something new. -
This bourbon is honestly a staple in my eyes. It’s great and super versatile if you wanna have it neat, on the rocks or even in a cocktail. (Old Fashioned, Gold Rush, etc.) The flavour profile is pretty typical of a bourbon, sweet notes like honey, fruit and the oak and spice. It’s smooth and rich, coats the palate nicely as well. Easy drinker for sure and a go to if you’re having a hard time choosing among the vast selection of bourbons without breaking the bank.

Octomore 10 Year Second Edition (2016 Release)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 23, 2021Very smoky but honestly one of the best smoky whimsies I’ve tasted by far! It has a great mixture of floral and slight citrus sweetness to it to match that smoky peat. Oily on the palate in a great way, the flavour lingers nicely afterwards giving it a subtle floral and pest note in the background. I’ve never really been a fan of peat flavours but this one was on a whole different level, one that I know I could definitely enjoy more often! Solid whiskey, definitely a strong buy! -
The Liberty Distillery Trust Southern
Canadian — Vancouver , Canada
Reviewed August 19, 2021 (edited August 26, 2022)Strong with a hint of caramel and orange which is really nice. The taste lingers a little at the need, giving it medium finish. Gives me a bourbon like feel in general.
