Oaky, sweet, smooth, and soft. This is the bourbon you are looking for on a cold winter's night, or to celebrate a special occasion. Watch out scotch, bourbon ages just as well, and it certainly brings out the best qualities in this one!

My second foray into scotch, the first being the Glenlivet 12yr. Very approachable and smooth. Nose is sweet and has some vanilla and toffee notes. Taste is more vanilla, as well as sherry. Finish is smooth and can taste hints of oak as well as brown sugar.

First Irish whiskey besides the usual Jameson. Very soft nose with a sweet taste. Finish was slightly rough and made it a little difficult to drink neat. Once adding a few drops of water, this went away very quickly.
