Tastes

Some serious cereal (say that five times fast). SO happy to have a single malt in my neck of the woods (Toronto, Ontario region). Visited the distillery and I can say that "craft distillery" definitely fits the definition at Stillwater. You can tell they're putting their talents to good use with this one. Can't wait to see what an aged statement single malt tastes like when it finally happens.

Can't say enough about this one. My tasting bar guy got me hooked on this and I was lucky enough to find a bottle. Fruit and smoke. What more do you want? (maybe cinnamon, okay it has that too). Love it.

A little too sharp for my liking. But it went very well with in a Manhattan with the cherry bitters the distillery does themselves. I think a little more time in the casks could do this one nicely.

Definitely not the 12, but love the vanilla and spice. Could sip, could put into a cocktail, or (gasp) could drink over ice. All work great with this expression.

I haven't had Pappy, but if it's anything like this then it deserves the praise. The Weller 12 goes down very smooth and you can definitely tell it isn't your typical bourbon from the wheat. Excellent sipper. Wouldn't dare put it in a cocktail (unless I already had a couple first).

Yup. It's bourbon and it "could" be sipped. Or you can have a night out with the boys and wake up the next day with it at your bedside. Not saying it wasn't fun drinking, but perhaps one too many.

If only I could get a hold of ths one. Tried it at Spirit of Toronto 2016 during a tasting event. Was blown away. I need to make a trip to Kentucky to try to find a bottle. Excellent Bourbon.

Nice little bourbon which you can generally find anywhere fairly cheap too. It's not too "in your face" but it does the job when you need it to. It works well in a cocktail too. The only reason I don't give it higher maks is because there's just too many good bourbons out there now. This one will always do in a pinch though. don't knock it unless you've tried it.

I thnk I'm in love. I love the sherry and malt together. I think I like the 105 over the 15, but if I'm giving this one a 5 star, that should say something about the 105. Excellent finnish too!

I love this one but maybe my tastes are changing. I'm finding the more I try it, the more I'm not getting that "fun" when I taste a new dram. It makes a perfect gift though. Especially for somebody who is just starting out.
