Reviewed April 20, 2018 (edited June 12, 2018)Neat/water Nose: Caramel, orange peel, wood/wood, caramel comes to the fore. Palate: Silky smooth/same. Taste: malt Smoke/subdued. Finish: short, starts with smoke then turns to burnt orange peel/subdued. Wife's Comments: Fresh smell of spring. Sharp with a smooth finish. tastes fresh. with water freshly cut grass Friend's Comments: Vanilla, wood, fruity. sour finish. -
Neat/water Nose: BBQ, iodine, Steak sauce, ribs/iodine is gone, reminds me of a cheeseburger lathered with smoked steak sauce. Palate: Oily thickness, slight warmth/Oil gone and replaced with a smooth creaminess. Taste: Delicious smokey BBQ/Charred oak has come to the fore, with a honey sweetness Finish: Short warmth, smoke aftertaste/Smoke still lingers. Wife's Comments: Smells like standing around a BBQ. Tastes like smoked ribs.

Neat/water Nose: Vanilla and malt with a hint of methylated spirits/Clear vanilla notes, malt and methylated spirits gone. Palate: Smooth with a slight creaminess/Smooth. Taste: Bland, no clear notes coming through/Even blander Finish: Short soft burn with no lingering aftertaste/Same burn. Wife's Comments: Immediate notes of vanilla on the nose, as well as cloves and garden plants. Smells like her Aunty and reminds her of home.
