Tastes

Good but I kind of miss the peat. Nice smoke on the nose and smooth on the palate.

Nice and approachable. Just a hint of peat and smoke. Definitely pairs well with a lighter meal like fish or sea food.

More fruity than smokey on the nose with a hint of citrus. The palate is peppery with more fruit notes. The finish lingers with spice. Overall it’s more delicate than I was expecting for such a young Ardbeg. For the price difference I would probably stick with the 10yo.

The nose is like the ash from a nice campfire in the early morning dew with a little hint of smoked pancetta and smoked meat. It makes me want to keep coming back. It is oh so oily and leaves a beautiful coating to the glencarin. The palate is rich with the taste of peppered mackerel. And maybe a hint of damp ash tray on the finish but in a good way. This one is nice.

A little to much ethanol for my taste.

Nose reminds me of Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds. On taste the brine is prominent but it really grows on you.

Good but I expected more given the hype. I’ll have to come back to it another time.

Definitely get apple on the nose. Taste is citrus but Irish doesn’t seem to be my thing.
