Straight- spice and oak right up front, followed by a light sweet vanilla warm finish. A few drops of water- sweet vanilla and oak, a lot of oak, nice warm finish

The aroma is of heavy nail polish, try sipping without smelling first, the aroma will throw off your palette, you can definitely tell a difference by smelling or not smelling first. Straight- light peppery notes at first that quickly fades to a sweet vanilla flavor, warm finish that seems to lack depth. Drops of water- still a spicy start that fades to vanilla but then some of the leather, oak, and smoke starts to come thru, much better depth. This one really does respond well to a few drops of water. Overall a nice 20 year that's just needs to be handled correctly, find the right amount of water and it will shine.

Nice smokey, peatiness upfront but not overwhelming. Spicy middle that spoons fades to a long oaky finish. If you like Islay's that are smooth and balanced this dram is for you!!!

Mine is a single barrel store pick, barrel 251. Straight- sweet notes of vanilla and caramel right up front, followed by a light spiciness with soft oak undertones. Add a few drops of water- it softens the sweet notes and brings out more of the oak. Overall a good solid bourbon especially for the price.

Mine is a 1792 ridgemont resererve store single barrel pick, NAS. Initial straight tasting really highlights the high rye, nice spice followed by hints of caramel and vanilla, with a long finish. Adding a few drops of water really opens up the sweeter notes.

A full flavored complex rye whiskey, absolutely delightful. Sweet notes of vanilla and leather start you off, then comes the oaky earthiness, followed by a very long spicy finish.

Not as sweet as the 21, but more of a fruity sweetness, definitely taste the figs and orange up front, it quickly shifts to more earthy tones of oak and nut, then on to a light spicy finish.
