Aromas of vanilla and cinnamon. Flavors vary from smoky to savory, notes of allspice with a little dark brown sugar adding a level of sweetness. Not the sweetest whiskey but it’s there. Oily viscosity that is pleasant and gives good roundness and texture. Very sippable, very enjoyable. And love the baseball theme!

Translucent yellow-gold. Nose has smoke and a nose hair tingling burn. Once past that initial hit, it mellows to aromas of vanilla and coconut. The palate is very smooth and clean with a slight oily viscosity. Flavors resemble the nose with an added red fruit component. Pleasant burn down the throat and an almost numbing feeling on the tongue. I love compass box but as good as this is, I’m underwhelmed for the price tag.

Aromas of oak, spice and orange. A touch of nail polish remover but not terribly unpleasant. Flavors are plenty of spice, oaky and caramel. Medium body, really coats the tongue in a slightly sticky way, pleasant warming burn that lingers and tingles the tongue. Great for the price, enjoyed neat, also perfect for cocktails, preferably Manhattans.29.99 USD per Bottle

Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 24, 2019 (edited January 11, 2023)I smell vanilla and oak. Incredible flavor. It’s got a burn on the mid palate and finish but tastes of vanilla, caramel and leather. Delicious. -
Corazón Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed October 21, 2018 (edited November 1, 2020)Much smokier than the profile lets on, which is not at all. Smoky, fruity on the nose. Not super smoky but the first note to hit. Full body, oily texture but smooth nonetheless. Full flavored leading with smoke, peppery notes and a nutty quality appearing late. Really coats the mouth and lingers in a warm and comforting way. Enjoyed neat in a Glencairn glass. -
Slaughter House American Whiskey
Other Whiskey — (Bottled in California), USA
Reviewed August 13, 2018Enjoyed neat in a Glencairn glass. Sweet, boozy on the nose. Continued sweetness upon tasting along with vanilla, char and subtle wine notes. Tingles the tongue, pretty full bodied yet very smooth. Burn on the finish that lingers. Very enjoyable.
