It is what it is. And there's nothing wrong with that. Touch is smoke on the nose and that's about it. On the palate, there's apples and bitter tea and some spice that tingles the tongue. A bit boring and i one dimensional but enjoyable nonetheless if looking for something good but don't want to think too much about and also reasonable for the price.

Glenlivet 15 Year French Oak Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 26, 2017 (edited April 24, 2018)Starts spicy on the nose. A touch sweet. Upon tasting, light viscosity, slightly creamy, more spice but some vanilla sweetness mixed in. Finishes sweet with a tiny bit a heat. Very nice for the price. -
Macallan 18 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 9, 2017 (edited April 24, 2018)Enjoyed neat. Figgy, nutty, touch of oranges. Love the sweet nutty aspect from the long aging in sherry casks. Some viscosity though still a nice texture on the tongue. Smooth yet slightly sticky. Long, warm finish. Overpriced for sure but delicious and well made nonetheless. Only getting 4 stars because of the price. -

Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 27, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)A true bargain at $35. Hot sweet cherry notes, fuller body than a typical bourbon. Really coats the tongue with a pleasant tingly sensation. It has some great spice notes throughout but especially on the finish. This is a real winner.
