Tastes

Possibly the most beautiful and well balanced Islay I have tasted. Nice sweetness that doesn't take away from the string smoke and spice. Goes down with remarkably little burn for it's proof

Vanilla. Orange on nose. A bit of tobacco on the finish. Very good for the price

Nose: Not particularly complex. A little bit of vanilla. There is a little bit of rye spice but but doesn't come that strong because of the low proof. Taste: I get a bit of toffee and christmas spices. A bit more burn than the nose and low proof would suggest. It has a lingering that is better than you would anticipate. Overall taste is better than nose. An easy-sipper. Won't win any awards. Definitely overlriced. Lot 40 is half the price and a far better canadian whisky

Beautiful canadian whisky. 100% Rye gives plenty of spice and a familiar rye burn but mixed in with rich toffee that mellows it out. To me this tastes like christmas baking
