An interesting dram unlike any other Glenfiddich I’ve tried. Smokier, richer, but also a bit oily and chemical. It was worth the taste bc I’m glad they’re experimenting like this!

Definitely some pear up front, a nice touch of smoke on the end. A bit sweeter than I usually like but when you want it, it’s just right.

A complex dram, full of sweet notes all around. I’d hoped for a bit more belly to the beast, but the complexity notches it above similar stylings.

Surprising and summery without being light. There's a definite note of stone fruit in the body and it's certainly very drinkable - a nice NAS offering, but nothing on the standard releases from Oban.

Loses some of the joys of the 16 yr - sweeter, less refined, simultaneously sharper and softer... an interesting one but better for a taste/change of pace than anything that might ever replace the 16 yr.

Very peppery, almost medical at first. You warm up to the bottle after two or three drams (not all at once, mind) but the astringency never really goes away.
