Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 12, 2021 (edited December 26, 2021)Always a good choice. My shelf feels naked without Rare Breed. A little cinnamon heat up front that fades into sweet caramel toffee and vanilla. There’s citrus in there but it’s perhaps a bit muted. Cherry and char. Fruity smoke with a slight minty quality. It’s one of my favorites and it’s an insane value. Bourbon like this should be impossible to find on shelves all the time! 🥃 -
Red Spot 15 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed October 11, 2021 (edited February 23, 2022)I find this to be a near perfect Irish whiskey. I get jam and figs along with other deep and dark fruits. There’s a nice cinnamon and clove mixed with like a nutmeg. Nice comfy warming heat on the palate. There’s a lot going on in this stuff. One of my favorites. Hope I can find more!!!145.0 USD per Bottle -

GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 11, 2021 (edited August 26, 2021)Fruity and spicy with balanced notes of fig, dark berries and baking spices. I can taste the finish very well. I think this is a quintessential staple for anyone who likes Scotch or whiskey in general to keep on their shelf. -
Probably my go-to daily right now. Great bourye. Lots of caramel and vanilla with that butterscotch toffee that’s common of lots of American whiskey or bourbon. The rye comes through and cuts away at the sweetness ever so slightly without downright muting anything. It’s a great pour at a great price point.

New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon Bottled In Bond
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 15, 2020 (edited September 22, 2020)Great BiB experience! This one gives a big flavor and full bodied experience for being 100 Proof. I get burnt sugar and molasses alongside butterscotch pudding and some nice cinnamon vanilla. Kinda gives that warm cinnamon roll taste. Some slight stone fruit and a light peppery note in the finish. I’d say finish is medium on this one for me. 10/10 flavor. 8/10 nose. 9/10 finish. Excellent overall! -
Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2020 (edited June 20, 2020)I get a nose of vanilla, salted caramel and cherry along with some light smoky cocoa. Taste is like a boozy cherry cordial! Not unpleasant in the least! This is wonderful! Like a Riesen candy too... slightly brown sugar and molasses with some nice oak and slight burn. Great quality! Very solid!
