This flavored whiskey is light in color and thin. It presents vanilla and ginger to the nose with a slight, almost buttery scent underneath. I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge ginger fan, but this whiskey tastes really good. It is smooth with a heavy ginger flavor and lighter notes of vanilla, jasmine, and sugar cane in the finish. The ginger is surprisingly balanced with the whiskey and it leaves a short but sugary finish. I like supporting South Carolina distilleries and this is a great whiskey that’s off the beaten path from the norm.

I’ve been trying to get into liquors more lately. I was highly skeptical of a coffee liquor that uses tequila as it’s base. I was presently surprised. Roasted coffee, mild chocolate, and sugar notes are presented to the nose. This liquor uses patron silver as its base and I was shocked to find a perfect and complimentary balance between the tequila and the roasted coffee flavors. On the second taste I could taste mild chocolate and strong black coffee notes with sweet notes like Werther’s Original coffee toffee flavor on the front of the tongue. The taste finished with a strong tequila flavor on the back of the tongue in a way that is satisfying and reminds you that this is Patron. This liquor is delicious and has a light to medium mouth feel that isn’t as heavy as other cream-based coffee liquors. Worth a try and perfect to pair with a more robust flavored cigar!22.0 USD per BottleLexington Beverage Outlet

This rum presents butterscotch, toffee, and vanilla to the nose. The taste is surprisingly complex. It has a slightly oily mouth feel. Stronger notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and toffee meet the middle of the tongue but the finish is where the flavor really lingers. Notes of pineapple, mango, orange, caramel, brown sugar, and citrus give way to spices on the finish. For the price, this is definitely one of the better rums on the market.34.0 USD per BottleLexington Beverage Outlet

This rum is not overpowering to the scent with muted notes of vanilla and cane syrup. The flavor is sweet and soft with a slightly buttery mouth feel. The flavor is vanilla, cane syrup, brown sugar, and and butter with just a hint of cinnamon. It has a medium finish with stronger notes of brown sugar and ending with a slight coconut aftertaste. This 12 year is aged well and has no sulfur-molasses after taste- a strength of this selection. Well worth the investment if you like rum.62.0 USD per BottleHigh Cotton Wine & Spirits Warehouse

Chairman's Reserve Master's Selection 19 Year
Aged Rum — Saint Lucia
Reviewed March 6, 2020 (edited June 2, 2020)This selection presents vanilla, caramel, and toffee notes to the nose. The mouth feel is thin with complex notes of cane sugar, vanilla, spicy, and a hint of chocolate covered cherries. The selection finishes light, with a hint of honey, and sulfur-molasses (which is not my favorite tasting note). This is a very good aged rum.High Cotton Wine & Spirits Warehouse -
Johnnie Walker Blue presents campfire smoke, vanilla, and leather scents to the nose. The mouth feel is thin, with oaky notes of vanilla, rawhide leather, and a hint of orange slice candy. The finish is short with spice, leather, and a hint of peanut. This is my personal favorite of the Johnnie Walker series. I’m not a Scotch snob and don’t mind a good blend. This is a scotch that you won’t believe is blended when you taste it. Unfortunately, the price point may not be justified even though it is quality.214.0 USD per BottleLexington Beverage Outlet

I’ve decided to start drinking more liquors. In this liquor, there is 225g of honey in each 750ML bottle, so this liquor is thick and oily in feel. It presents vanilla notes and a floral bouquet to the nose. The tasting notes are strongly sweet. Honey is dominant in a very surprising balance for a liquor. There are vanilla, spice, and brown sugar notes on the middle of the tongue with sweet molasses around the front. The finish is short, sweet, satisfying, and distinctly honey. As liquors go, this is one of the finest, but you’d better like honey or it’s not for you!27.89 USD per BottleLexington Beverage Outlet

Russell's Reserve Single Barrel "Russell the Muscle"
Bourbon — Lawrenceburg, KY, USA
Reviewed December 6, 2019 (edited February 8, 2020)I tasted this bourbon as part of a barrel pick by our friends at Lexington Beverage Outlet. Master Distiller Jimmy Russell celebrates his 65th year of employment at the Wild Turkey Distillery and this bottle is in commemoration of that feat. Jimmy was an impressive athlete and know in high school as Russell the Muscle. This whiskey bourbon is named in his honor. The whiskey bourbon presents a strong oak, maple, and slight vanilla to the nose. The mouth feel is thin and hot, with notes of sweet almond, butter, maple syrup, and caramel. The finish is long and strong with fruity notes and a peanut finish. More complex that the Russell’s 10 and both sweet and spicy. Try it if you can get your hands on it. It was the whiskey I served for Thanksgiving!69.99 USD per BottleLexington Beverage Outlet -
