Sweet, dark, and caramely without being syrupy. Smooth even taste and feel. Nothing changes with the finish. Just realized this is 120 proof. You'd never know, it's that smooth.

I've had better. But I've certainly had worse at this price point. A little more acidic than what I personally enjoy. No specific notes stand out to me. Not overly fruity or smoky or sweet. Pretty well balanced outside of the acidity.

Very distinct almost tequila note. But does not taste anything like it smells. Relatively smooth. A little acidic and sharp compared to other great buys at the same price.

Tastes of dried fruit, apricots, plums. Yet it is not very "fruity". Notes of finishing peat and woody earthy tones without being smokey.

I don't notice the peat at all. And this is coming from someone who is not into peaty smokey scotches. Not very light, not very heavy. Not very fruity, not very smokey. A good balanced scotch.

I personally find Macallan 10 to be better. The 12 feels thicker, deeper, darker, almost syrupy to me. It's not offensive though. Just a preference thing.
