This is a quality bourbon. I have yet to try George T Stagg, but if this is the young version, I can only imagine how good the big daddy is. Drink this one with a few drops of water to help it open up. The nose of this one is full of vanilla and brown sugar. Very sweet. The palate compliments that vanilla and brown sugar with oak, cinnamon spice and a little bit of spiced cherries and maybe even a touch of leather. Top notch!

Not a bad bourbon, but definitely nothing special. I bought this with hopes that it would be really good (for the price) and it was average at best. Chalk this one up to a good marketing campaign. Straight forward profile of a young bourbon for this one. Corn, caramel, and rye spice in this one with a quick finish.

Four Roses Single Barrel is a solid bourbon. I get notes of caramel and brown sugar on the nose, followed by a little vanilla and a good amount of oak - with maybe a touch of citrus zest. On the palate, I get cinnamon, vanilla, spice from the rye, cherry, citrus custard, and brown sugar More traditional than complex in my opinion, but still very solid.

Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 27, 2015 (edited May 14, 2016)LOVE this bourbon! Add a few drops of water to this one and then wait. After about 5 or 10 minutes, I can't keep my nose out of the glass. The nose is solid fresh baked apple pie and vanilla and fresh bread. Simply divine! The taste and palate translate just as nice. If you see this one at the local shop, don't walk out of the store without it, as this is an allocated offering. Don't overpay. I have found 3 bottles for $39-$45. I wouldn't pay more than $50 ( even though I think it Is worth it) -
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 27, 2015 (edited October 4, 2017)Evan Williams Single Barrel, Larceny, and 1792 are always in my bourbon cabinet. These are my everyday sippers and in my opinion, the best bourbon value out there! I currently have both the 2005 and 2006 bottles in my cabinet. Slightly different but very consistent in overall character. Can't go wrong with this. -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2015-04 "Oven Buster Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 27, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)This is a bit different than other Booker's bourbons. The description of roasted meat and thyme are spot on. I enjoy this one while sitting outside while cooking on the green egg. This one is different in a good way. Not my every day sipper, but a fine bourbon. 90/100 -
Love the maturity of the oak and vanilla in this bourbon. This is my favorite bourbon. Was fortunate enough to get it at retail. Would not pay the current "market price" for this. Bourbon is meant to be consumed not as currency. If you can't find it at retail, maybe try Noah's Mill. Not a wheaten bourbon and not quite as complex, but one of the closest bourbons I can think of as far as taste and palate go.
