Tastes

Smells fruity with a dryness that is hard to explain. The dryness probably comes from the oak with a spice that isnt overpowering. The nose is complex and inviting. The sugar balances out the dry spice that hang on the nose. The heat and spice is very pronounced on the tongue. Tobacco and oak is prominent with a slight bit of fruitiness. The finish is dry with a backend of oak heat that intensifies and then disappates. When you think the tobacco spice, leather and oak might be a bit much, the dark fruit sugar brings it back and goes away as fast as it came. Medium long finish.

Extremely tasty. Has a nice wheat heat up front with a long finish of sweet spice. Flavor lingers and evolves over time. A nice one to sip on all night. Fantastic.

A very elevated of Yamazaki 12. Huge smells of sherry. Hotter than the proof. Oak lingers for a long time. Great whiskey. Prob not worth the premium. I can think of a few that would be better. Honestly blending your own sherry oak casks could bring about similar flavors. Either way. A very balanced whisky.

Dusty medium long finish. Sweet vanilla undertones. Peat is slight. Peaches.

Nose has a sweet melon off pear maybe white grape to it. I want to say maybe chamomile like quality. Definitely had some sediment in it. Has a good fruity vanilla on the palette with a nice long finish. Slight brine. Peat is light. Well balanced and easy to drink. No heat.

Sweet nose. Fruity. Has a short finish. Sweet. Peat is not strong. Good but would not pay the high price.

Robust Rye

Super tasty of a rye. Fairly long finish. Heavy spice with a mellow mint finish. Reminds me a bit of 20 Handy. Possibly better. In between bookers and handy.

I mean if you like Blantons. This will be your cup of tea. Has plenty of the familiar feel but with a longer finish. Sweet caramel.

One of my favorite scotches for a reason. The floral peat lingers. With a nice smooth complexity. Oak is throughout.
