In the nose it has a creamy caramel aroma with cooked agave and a hint of spice. There is a slightly sour mustiness around the edges. Given some time, I actually get a hint of cigarette smoke and ash, which is a first for me. - Once again, initially very soft on the palate with a gently building sweetness, now with hints of creamy caramel and sweet vanilla that lead to a peppery mid palate with some roasted agave flavour and pineapple juice accompanied by dry rub spices. - The finish is spicy with lingering pepper and salt tingling on the tongue, but also faintly sour tropical fruit sweetness still present throughout.40.25 CAD per Bottle

Tomintoul 25 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed September 9, 2018 (edited November 5, 2019)The nose has a strong bourbon note with cinnamon and sweet toffee. That apple character persists, but it’s more baked apple pie here. - Very dense on the palate, but also more gentle than the others. Sweet toffee with oak, butter, vanilla and cinnamon. - The finish is soft and creamy with the barest hint of spice.400.0 CAD per Bottle -

Reviewed September 9, 2018 (edited September 29, 2019)Significantly more rich and sweet on the nose. Deep red apples, yellow pears and creamy vanilla with a light caramel drizzle. - Very gentle to the palate, just a light coating of honeyed barley. Flavours of cooked apple and some light citrus enter the mid-palate with a subtle hint of spice. - The finish has a short lingering hint of oak with a thin layer of honey and vanilla. -
On the nose I find it to be quite sharp and spirity with sour green apples, leafy green vegetation, dusty white pepper and a touch of honeyed cereal. - To the palate it is spiky and sweet with that tart green apple coming though with a hint of light pepper and very light honey. A vanilla fudge note appears towards the end with a chai spice assortment with a hint of oak or tea tannin. - The finish lingers with a bit of that spirity roughness I caught early on. There may be a hint of nuttiness hiding in the gently honeyed finish.78.6 CAD per Bottle
