A lot of citrus up front, moving on to licorice and spice - a fine rye.

Back to my daily driver.

A lot of honey and apple on the palate. Unusual and interesting rye.

Coming off a Rittenhouse bender, my first sense of this was that there was a too-present taste of alcohol, but after living with this for a few nights my mind's been changed and I can tell that this is dialed in. A really nice bonded rye that hits all the right spice notes of sweet anise and licorice. If only the price was easier to swallow than the whisky.

Can't go wrong with this rye.

Rustic and spicy. So good, I got another bottle.

There's no messing around here, Rittenhouse gets straight to the rye spice which is complemented with the slightly higher ABV. Notes of almond and clove and value for money all over the place.

Surprisingly sweet up front, with vanilla and marshmallow predominating, giving way to a more traditional rye spice finish. The bottle looks silly, but there's good stuff inside.

Wood and leather followed by very slight licorice and vanilla. This is a smooth whiskey to be sure, but Rabbitgrail Boxerhole might have gone too far because I'm not finding the rye spice character too easily.
