Four Roses Yellow Label Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 25, 2016 (edited June 16, 2017)very smooth and easy to drink straight, which is surprising for the price. I picked up a bottle of this when I was out of town and could not find my normal Texas whiskeys, I was not disappointed. Would be worth keeping a bottle of this on hand for evenings when you want something a little smoother and sweeter than average. Without the harsh bite that some whiskeys have, add a little chill to smooth it out even more. -
Siete Leguas Blanco Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed July 25, 2016 (edited February 5, 2023)My wife's new favorite tequila. She previously preferred silver Patron, but this blew it away. When chilled properly, this goes down smooth as water, but it also mixes well if that is your preference. We always keep a bottle or two on hand. -
Balcones Texas Blue Corn Bourbon
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed July 25, 2016 (edited April 20, 2019)You can definitely taste the corn in this one, I really enjoyed it. Fairly smooth and easy to drink neat, especially chilled a little. I am not wild about the premium price on this one, but for special occasions I would pick up another bottle. I like that it is actually distilled in Texas, so that is a plus in my book.
