Quite a nice, subtle gin. As its name indicates, very floral and herb-y, with just a hint of citrus. Nice sipped neat for a while, but very good in G + T. Also glad to support a local, Ohio-based distillery.

Very citrus forward, so not my favorite. Better than other citrus forward gins I’ve had, there’s some depth here. Just not my style. Cool bottle, although kind of awkwardly shaped.

Like a pine forest in your mouth, followed by a bit of turpentine. Not for me, as the pine and juniper overwhelms any kind of mouth feel or subtlety. Neat bottle and concept, though.

Really synthetic taste. Much prefer Stratosphere: definitely worth the couple extra dollars over this gin. Would not drink again unless in a heavily mixed drink.

As its name indicates, a citrus forward gin. I learned I was not a fan of citrus forward gin with this bottle and Bluecoat. If you enjoy citrus over herbs/juniper, then this is good for you. Also happy to support my local Midwest breweries.

Super dry. Very nice though, prefer to Bombay. Good in dry or sweeter cocktails. Has a sense of purity that makes the other ingredients shine through.

Very good work horse of a gin. Lovely bottle. Good in cocktails, less so neat.

A rough gin. I’ve heard the citrus version is much better, but this gin is not very good. Way too much heat and paint thinner taste for me. Disappointing, as a nice bottle.

I wanted to love this gin. It’s story and botanicals drew me in, and for a while I thought it was delicious. Near the end of the bottle, however, I started detecting a kind of fake, sweet note in the texture: plastic-y, like Splenda. This put me off the drink, and I’d prefer Drumshanbo (which has similar tea notes) any day.

A delicious, well-balanced gin. Perfect for cocktails, or neat. Classic bottle as well.
