Really very nice, especially from someone who likes tea flavors in gin (Drumshanbo, etc.). Nose doesn’t reveal too much chamomile, but definitely present in G+T and also within a spiked chamomile tea (which just seems too good not to pass up). Presently surprised and would purchase again, especially since it’s local for me (Cleveland, Ohio).

Really nice, light gin, perfectly paired with a cucumber slice (or a few) in a G+T or neat. Much preferred by me over Orbium, and would like to try the other types of Hendrick’s to see how they stack up, but to me Lunar is better than the standard Hendrick’s, for those who don’t like floral gins and for drinks on the drier side.

I like this gin, as it’s less floral and citrusy. Very spicy with some heat, strong juniper, and definitely not for those who like gins that have a lot of other botanicals going on. The finish is bitter, but not terribly so, and it gives a nice tang to a G+T, I think. The character of this gin is limited, in that you can’t point to a particular unique botanical (floral, tea, citrus, etc.) being at the forefront, but in certain cases this is just what you want.

For me, on both the nose and palate, this gin has an overwhelming “peach” note. I say “peach” because one could also interpret it as bubblegum or a pleasantly scented cleaner. Beyond that is citrus and juniper, of course, and a decent amount of heat. Tried neat and in G+T, and both were really quite good. I’m surprised, since I typically do not like floral gins (like Hendrick’s Orbium), but as I taste and smell the main note of this gin as fruit, it works for me.

Nice notes of a tea leaves and a strong juniper on the palate. I genuinely prefer this gin neat over mixed. When mixed, the more diffuse taste of this gin reveals a component that was more hidden when more concentrated: a kind of cough syrup flavor that I really dislike. When combined with some bitters, etc. it’s not a huge problem, but my biggest issue with this gin.

Neat: very unique nose of cinnamon, vanilla, anise, and of course juniper. Sharp start in the mouth, all pepper and no citrus, into a decent amount of acridness and bitterness (neither of which I’m very keen on), and then a very short finish, save for a bit of tingling from botanicals (Szechuan peppercorns, as someone else mentioned?). Curious, and perhaps a bit dreading, to try in a G+T, as the bitterness and acrid taste will likely be all that shines through. The nose on this gin is really unique, along with its start on the palate, but the bitterness and the short finish make it less exciting to me.

This gin has a very strong floral scent and taste, the blossom coming through intensely. Effective in a gin fizz or with tonic, where that taste isn’t competing against other elements, but not good in other, more flavor rich cocktails (Negroni, etc.). Ultimately, Hendricks with a floral flourish, and when up or in cocktails with ingredients that don’t compete, it’s very satisfying.

Very solid gin. Enjoying more herbaceous gins and gins that have a solid hint of tea, this is very welcome. Nose is cool and fresh. Taste is, of course very herbal, but somewhat bitter, and, enjoying drier drinks, this is fine by me. Very little citrus. Hides in a gin and tonic, which is why I’m not rating this higher. Enjoyable, but doesn’t have that spark that Drumshanbo and a few others have for me.
