Reviewed May 24, 2019 (edited January 28, 2022)Picked this up tonight - I was blown away... I have bottle or regular blue ...and it’s not great. This it a fantastic blend with delicate notes of citrus, Werthers original, cereal grains, rye spice, pineapple, mango, and chocolate ... phenomenal. -
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed May 23, 2019 (edited July 18, 2019)5. ...Why? Price, complexity, balance, long finish. Many people love highland park 18, and this has similarities- but I think this has all the elements in a better arrangement for my palate with just a slight kiss of smoke at the end. Perfect -
Kirkland 27 Year Blended Scotch Bourbon Cask Matured

Reviewed May 13, 2019 (edited May 15, 2019)Smooth, unpeated, and delicious. Not overly complex, it has mild sweetness, and a medium finish with a delightfully subtle but blissfully lingering aftertaste. it’s a fantastic drinker. Bought a case. -
Kirk and Sweeney 23 Year Rum
Aged Rum — Dominican Republic
Reviewed May 4, 2019 (edited May 6, 2020)I’ll equate this purchase to how I would feel when I got home and hooked up cheap speakers I bought from the back of a truck. Don’t believe the hype, or fake reviews...this stuff is nothing special - the “age” on this is some sort of joke - unless we’re talking about it being aged in a glass barrel with a flux capacitor. Four square rum blows this stuff out of the water in every which. Don’t waste your money, or your time- it’s very bland, the nose is totally muted, and the tasting elements are that of cheap rum one step BELOW captain morgan. Sorry kids, but this was one of the worst purchases I’ve made in A while - even at $50 -
Kaiyō Japanese Mizunara Oak Cask Strength
Blended Malt — Japan
Reviewed May 1, 2019 (edited May 12, 2019)One of the smoothest cask strength whiskies iv tasted - extremely unique profile. Unpeated, short finish. I’ll get back to this -
GlenDronach Revival 15 Year (2009-2015)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 30, 2019 (edited July 7, 2019)Wow, a 15 that tastes like a 20+ - this is a fantastic pour with great mouth feel and a smooth clean finish. Every product i’v tasted by Glendronach has been absolutely stellar - It’s nice to see a company that underpromises and over delivers- they have amazing quality, all of their whisky is complex and though provoking, smooth and spicy at the same time. IMO Glendronach produces some of the finest whiskey in the entire world; up there with Buffalo Trace and Macallan- BUT without all the BS hype, overpricing and 2nd hand market gouging. I’m a huge huge fan. -
Jack Daniel's Sinatra Century
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed March 27, 2019 (edited September 19, 2020)Interesting- jack Daniels elements with a little Marciano cherry and incredible smoothness - having side by side with weller 12 in the old bottle on my 40th birthday. Pretty good - but not worth 170. Cheers! -
GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 1
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 24, 2019 (edited April 8, 2022)Batch 7. Incredible. If you love bourbon and scotch - and you’re seeking unicorn quality whiskey with drinkable prices - This is the sweet spot you’re looking for- end of story. If you like cask strength blantons, Pappy 23, glendronach 18, hochstadter’s 16, or four roses single barrel OBSV- then you will love this. A heaping dose of Carmel, chocolate, lemon, vanilla, oak, cherries, ... and all the other qualities of great whiskey wrapped up into every sip. HOWEVER- it’s not for the faint of heart- this is very HOT stuff- at 115 proof it drinks nicely, spicy - but for me not overpowering and hollow like may others at this proof. For those seeking $400 tasting whiskey - grab this bottle and enjoy! Sooo good. -
Ledaig Dùsgadh 42 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed February 21, 2019 (edited March 30, 2019)Can we get a different front runner people? This puppy is obviously a relatively unattainable statistical anomaly - and frankly I’m sick of looking at it like “here’s this old ass bottle you will never ever see or taste. .. got it? .. cool.”1000000.0 USD per Bottle
